Why:
Ohio’s Alternate Assessment for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) is aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards–Extended (OLS-E) and designed to allow students with significant cognitive disabilities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in an appropriately rigorous assessment. The AASCD will be administered by grade band (3-5, 6-8, HS).
Purpose of Training: After the full-day training session participants will be able to:
 Administer the Ohio AASCD
 Place students accurately
 Score the Ohio AASCD
Training Requirements:
Full-Day Training
Only teachers, test administrators, and second raters administrating the AASCD for the first time are required to attend a full-day training this year
