Wilson Reading System Level 2 Advanced Strategies for MSL Group Instruction

This workshop delves into essential techniques and strategies to improve all aspects of WRS group instruction through hands-on practice and discussion. It is a pre-requisite for the Wilson Reading System Level 2 Group Mastery Practicum.

For 2018, 1 Graduate Credit available through Fitchburg State University upon completion of the workshop at an additional cost of $240.

Workshop Topics: Ensuring and assessing group mastery ~ Maximizing group success while meeting individual needs ~ Application and integration of skills ~ Concept development vs. fluency ~ Planning and practicing lesson plan Blocks 1, 2, and 3 for groups ~ Direct and targeted fluency instruction ~ Strategies for effective vocabulary and comprehension instruction.

Prerequisite: (1) Completion of or enrollment in Wilson Level 1 Certification Training and (2) BA in Education or a related field.
Cost: IDA Members $340 / Non-Members $390. Includes continental breakfast and workshop training materials. 1 hour lunch break, no meal provided. Wilson teacher and student materials are sold separately.
