Components of PBIS include identifying and teaching a small set of behavioral expectations, with a consistent response for both acknowledging appropriate behavior and correcting inappropriate behavior. Come learn more about this approach and how to make connections to the home setting.
You will want to attend this session to:
Understand aspects of the PBIS framework
Review Ohio Department of Education’s policy on PBIS
Develop expectations for your own home
Practice effective feedback on appropriate behaviors
Develop a plan for error correction
This series will include an optional “make and take” portion where participants can create materials for teaching behavioral expectations in their own home. All ages are invited to participate in structured activities led by educators and volunteers during the workshop. Parents and children must be registered to participate.
*This workshop is open only to parents/caregivers and is not open to professionals.
